Were back ! Can’t believe it. The trips over. As you all know, two weeks ago we traveled to Tampa, Florida for the ASI International Convention 2008.
I had never been to Tampa, Florida before this trip, and had forgotten what it was like to fly (since I had not flown since I was about two years old). Tampa, Florida turned out to be really humid as were our expectations. The low was about 78 -83 and the High was95-99 with approx. 95 percent humidity. We found out that there were actually real palm trees there, lots of them. In fact, there in Tampa it was as if they had palm trees for their decorations and everything. They were everywhere! There were crocodiles there, as well.
The feather bedding in the hotel was a big huge mistake from the very beginning for me. Every time upon entering the room I would start a sneezing fit and my ears felt like they were just about ready to burst. It was so hard to even sleep. When we realized it was the feathers causing me trouble, we had them change our bedding to nonfeather bedding. We asked for prayers for us girls, because I was just about ready to loose my voice Sabbath, the day we were to sing, and the prayers worked! God gave me strength to toughen it out and smile, and act as if nothing was wrong. Most of all, I am glad that He gave me the strength to deliver His message.
Us girls attended a number of the different Seminars: I didn’t go to as many as Juanita and Alissa, because of not feeling well. Some things I learned were that: A person that doesn’t deviate from principle, has integrity. And that all though we may each have our differences, we all have one thing in common— our love for Jesus!
